Triple S... Suits, Socks & Sneakers!

Now if you’re like me and many other city slickers, then you probably don’t have to wear a suit except for special occasions. That’s dope, but i like to have a little everyday “spice” in my life. A lot of us don’t sit behind a desk or attend board meetings, but it’s still that faithful few who prefer to display an elevated style regardless of their environment. Shout out those guys dressed for no other reason, but to be “FLEE” (hashtag: Flee is Life!). Everyone loves a sharp suit, even those who don’t rock one regularly. Being suited up, fresh cut and all clean feels great, but I’m not going to an interview. So Question is “How can one be sharp AF and not look so serious?”, especially in an environment where it isn’t necessary… That’s when the term “Triple S” comes into play. What’s “Triple S” you ask? Well, I’m certainly not referring to those Balenciaga Dad sneakers… I mean they’re cool and all, but I’m not on that type of time.
SUITS, SOCKS & SNEAKERS is what I’m referring to and when executed correctly, it’s TOO FLEE! I stay on my feet like all day so hard bottoms can become a problem. If I choose to wear some hard bottoms, I promise y’all my dogs are barking and screaming for mercy by about 4pm. I can’t be putting these size 13’s through that pain. You really have to show your feet love. I mean, they’re your feet for like the rest of your life. (hashtag: Big feet need love to. lol) So a clean suit and sneakers became a dope alternative! My Bro Daryl (@styledbydarylj) aka “Thrift God” aka “Skateboard Flee” bodies this look like almost daily. This blog post goes out to Flee guys like him. You know, the ones that only breathe and style heavy. My bros’ suit, sneakers and sock game is crazy. Not to mention, bro sports the coolest accessories. Oh, did I tell y’all that he’ll be dressed to the nines while riding a skateboard?! I guess that’s where his sneakers come into good use, because skateboarding in shoes sounds like tragedy to me. Riddle me this… How many black men with dreads, in a tailor made suit have you seen riding a skateboard?… Exactly! That’s why I F@#%s with bro! However, you’ll be lucky to see my ass on a bike. Lol. Best believe I wouldn't have on a damn suit either… See how different we all are?
“What inspires my style is my mood. When I wake up, my mood usually falls under two categories, Dapper Dan or Dope Boy Fresh. After I decide on my kicks (which usually center my outfit), the rest is history!”
Anyways, him, along with rappers, hipsters of Williamsburg and Soho hype beast have covered this look plenty. It’s a really cool, but relaxed kind of vibe. Perfect for being dressed up and not being over dressed at the same damn time. So if you ever have to dress down and still be quite sharp, don’t ditch the suit, ditch the shoes! After you ditch the shoes, throw on some funky, fly socks. It keeps the look playful and effortless. Do remember, a good pair of socks can elevate the f^@% out of an outfit. Pair it with some dope kicks (anything from Stan Smith to Gucci), add some fly accessories and BOOM! Proceed to take over the Mother F@#$%^& World… or at-least look like it. Flee recognize Flee. If you guys ever need some style inspiration check out this fella! Look out for my next blogpost. Stay Flee!
